Medical examinations should be conducted before the immigrant visa interview. Green Crescent Health Services and Dr. Lina Shahnaz Parveen Hoq is lawfully authorized by the US embassy, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the immigration and naturalization service of the USA to conduct health screening for students, immigrant, and nonimmigrant Bangladesh citizens seeking US visas.

According to the CDC guidelines, the first dose of the vaccines are given to every applicant. These vaccines are specific for every age group. All the immunizations are carried out at Green Crescent Health Services.

  1. Original passport along with 1 photocopy of passport biographic page.
  2. Three (3) Immigrant size (2” x 2”) recent photos with white background.
  3. Embassy Appointment letter/ Interview letter along with a photocopy (1 set).
  4. Please bring your Bangladesh address, your petitioner’s US address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Medical Examination fee:
    - Adult (18 years and above)- BDT 9,104/-
    - Child (0 to 14 years)- BDT 3,340/-
    - Child (15 to 17 years)- BDT 4,340/-
    - Fee for additional chest radiograph, if required: BDT 500/-
    - IGRA test fee for all applicants aged 2 years and older is BDT 7,875/-.
  6. What to expect at IME:
    a. Discussion of medical records/ prescriptions/ medical history with delegated staff/ PP.
    b. Full physical examination requiring undressing to underwear but clinic gowns & chaperones will be provided.
  7. Advice:

    a. Please bring glasses/ lenses and any prescription/ previous medical records.
    b. All are advised not to wear any jewelry.
    c. You do not have to come on an empty stomach.
    d. The whole procedure may take 30-45 minutes.
    e. Vaccination sheet if any. Vaccination is not included in the cost of medical examination, otherwise vaccination fee is required.
    f. Please bring a COVID-19(Corona) vaccination certificate (if available).
    g. Please bring any past chest X-Ray films (if available).
    h. Please do not come to the clinic if you have a fever or conjunctivitis.

All applicants are requested not to bring any large bags on the day of the medical examination. Any accompanying person with the applicant may not be allowed in the medical center. Please do not bring along with you any other person as an attendant or escort. Only those applicants requiring special assistance are allowed one attendant to accompany them to the medical center. If you require special assistance, please inform the medical center before coming for medical examination.


All e-Medical reports will be submitted by the panel physician to the concerned health departments after the completion of all required tests.

  1. Any intentional attempt to hide medical or physical condition shall be informed to the embassy.
  2. If you are pregnant, please inform the staff at the registration desk so that vaccines which are contraindicated are not given to you. These vaccines may be harmful to your baby.
  3. A complete physical examination is required by the CDC/Health authority of the concerned country and the whole body shall be examined. Please take into account hygiene and cleanliness.
  4. If you or your child has a high-grade fever or is severely ill, please re-schedule your appointment and only come for the medical examination when you or your child has recovered completely.
  5. Please bring your vision glasses or contact lenses at the time of medical examination. Please also bring your previous prescriptions of medications or surgical notes if any.
